Rosebud School of the Arts
2-year Acting Diploma | F.R.S.A. 4-year Acting Program
I graduated from Rosebud School of the Arts' two year acting diploma program and then, their four year acting program. Here are some photos and information about my time there:
The above photo is the cast photo for our production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. To see more photos and get more information visit the A Midsummer Night’s Dream page.
As part of my schooling, I also went on two theatre trips, one to New York/Toronto and one to London, England. During these two week trips, I was immersed into the theatre scene and culture of each city. I attended theatre workshops held by prominent theatre companies in those cities such as Frantic Assembly (UK), FeverGraph (Toronto), Streb (NYC), The Shakespeare Forum (NYC), Canadian Opera Company (Toronto), The Humanist Project (NYC) to name a few. I also attended a vast variety of shows and was introduced to many different theatre companies and their work.
In my final year of school, we had to create our own theatre company and produce a show. I created Light in the Dark theatre with which I have continued to create and produce after graduation. The photo above is a cast photo from our first produced show Dani Girl by Micheal Kooman and Christopher Dimond. To see more images from this show visit the Dani Girl page.
In my fourth and final year, I was voted, by the student body, to be their Student Representative. I attended weekly education meetings, relayed the information from these meetings to the students, and relayed any student issues to the Education Team. I held weekly office hours where students could talk to me about anything they needed to talk about. I also held meetings for the student body as a whole and helped plan student events with the Vice-Student Representative and Treasurer.
